Shots I Just Like
|
I call this picture, "I feel like chicken
tonight!" Joe Berk took this while we were on assignment in
Riverside. I was stretching just at the moment he snapped a shot with his
Mavica. It reminded me of the old commercials for a sauce in which to cook
chicken. All of the actors would dance around waggling their arms while
singing, "I feel like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight!" |

This is "The Great Wave", a painting by Japanese
artist, Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), Japanese painter
and wood engraver, born in Edo (now Tokyo). He is considered one of the
outstanding figures of the Ukiyo-e, or "pictures of the floating
world" (everyday life), school of printmaking. You can find more
great artwork at the Paris WebMuseum at: http://sunsite.unc.edu/wm.
This is one of my favorite non-van-Gogh prints. |

This is a digitally altered print of the photo of a
butterfly that's on my Nature page. I created this effect using the
watercolor options of Microsoft's PhotoDraw. It's a great program for a
lot of things, and I particularly liked the effect on this one print. |
